I've been freelancing the whole time we've been on St. Thomas (you can check out our island blog here) and I'm ramping up my skills and client offerings. I have a variety of clients in various industries, and am really enjoying the freedom of being my own boss. I think the ultimate dream would be to become a published author - we'll see :)
I was really worried I would be throwing a career in management away by leaving the museum and pursuing freelance writing and PR consulting, but (like always) by letting go and pursuing a passion, things are working out beautifully and teaching me things I wouldn't have learned otherwise.
On to the next adventure!
