Phew. Take a breath. I haven't posted in quite a while, but there has been A LOT going on.
The short story, from the beginning:
In December Dan and I went on a cruise to celebrate his graduation from physical therapy school and new job. We love cruising, and enjoyed this one as well. When we stopped in St. Thomas, USVI, we chuckled as we drove by some PT clinics and said "wouldn't it be fun to live here?!" Well....now we do.
We sold off our funiture, packed our bags, and became residents of St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands as of May 3. It has been a crazy ride so far and you can read more about our adventure on our travel blog at www.islandersfromiowa.com.
(Yes, we technically moved from Omaha, Nebraska, but we don't like to claim any connection to that state, so we just say Iowa.)
So, that's what's been happening. Dan is enjoying his position as lead therapist at a local outpatient clinic, and I'm (so far) able to pursue my dream of becoming a writer. I've picked up a plethora of freelance clients and am able to supplement our income to nearly what we were making in the states. With a few more months of hard work, I hope to make freelancing a career. My ultimate dream, however, would come true if I were able to become a published author. We'll see.
Adios for now. If anyone is still reading, thanks :)
