I love working at a children's museum, and OCM staff are a great bunch. They create a very special exhibit here every October, called Cobweb Castle: The Not- So-Scary Haunted House. It takes more than 550 man hours to complete, and all the building is done by OCM staff and volunteers! It's just spooky enough...no blood and guts, nothing jumping out at you...just a good dose of the creepy-crawlies. And the kids LOVE IT!
The OCM staff rarely gets the chance to experience our exhibits while not on duty, so the night before we had a special staff preview of Cobweb Castle. Me being the over-achieving Martha Stewart wannabe that I am, I decided to make some munchies.
Ok a lot of munchies.
I made Spider-Web Cheesecake, which is surprisingly easy, thanks to a great Martha recipe.

It's not really purple, but the whole room is lit with blacklights and other colored lights!
I also made Dismembered Digits, Freaky Fruit, Witch's Wands, Mummy Dogs and Poisoned Punch. It was a fun time and a great way to open Cobweb Castle and celebrate lots of hard work!
