Dan and I went to see The King's Speech last night. Nominated for seven Golden Globes (with Colin Firth winning for Best Actor in a Drama) and garnering much Oscar buzz, this film was fantastic! I love period films to begin with (and can't wait to see the new Jane Eyre, which was a preview!), and Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush definitely deliver.
I think everyone can relate to the fear and feelings of inadequacy of facing a turning point in one's life. It was touching, funny and quite meaningful. I hope it wins some Oscars :)
