So I've had a not-so-great week. It started on Sunday when Dan and I met with a jewelry designer. I was super excited, but let's just say it didn't go as I had planned. It was very disappointing. The day got better when we went to Ray's new house for a superbowl party - it was lots of fun! I probably ate and drank too much, but I had a nice time. And I don't even like football.
Monday consisted of not-so-great weather trying to get back from Sioux City to Des Moines, meaning I missed my two morning classes. Oh well. Life goes on.
Tuesday just sucked. I was minding my own business trying to get some major work for my internship done. I was leaving school and headed to Kinko's (where I should just set up a cot) when I shut my car door, causing the window to fall down into the door and break. I immediately started crying. And it was snowing pretty heavily by that time. I went to Walgreens in attempt to get tape and plastic bags to cover my window, but I was too upset to do anything productive. I drove to the bodyshop in Urbandale with my window down. Scary. They got the window up so that it would stay, but I told them to go ahead and just fix it so that I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. $300 later I have a new window thingy.
This morning wasn't that great either. After 9ish inches of snow, someone decided it was ok to park 6 inches away from me. I couldn't get into my car on the driver's side, let alone the fact that that six inches between the cars was packed with snow. I got stuck leaving my parking lot because it hadn't been plowed yet. Three nice gentleman came to push me out. i got stuck driving down the street near drake. It took three more people to push me into the parking lot. My car hates the snow. I can't wait for spring.
Lent starts today. I've given up coffee. Dan is afraid I'll become terribly irritable and cranky. Looks like it's lots of tea for me!
